Every month, thousands of activities happen on Meet5. That works so well because you’re all part of a reliable community. To highlight that, we’re introducing the new “Dependable” badge.
This badge shows other members at a glance that you’re considered a dependable member. It’s meant to build trust, encourage commitment, and recognize thoughtful behavior — especially for activities where planning and being on time really matter. 🙂
You’ll receive the badge automatically once you meet certain criteria:
Your attendance rate is above 90%
Your courtesy rate — meaning you cancel at least 8 hours before an activity started — is above 75%
You have successfully completed at least 5 activities.
As soon as you meet the criteria, the badge will appear in the app. In your profile settings, under “My Dependability Statistics,” you can see exactly how your status is calculated.
We want this new reliability feature to feel motivating and fair — not stressful. That’s why the logic is designed to be practical for everyday use 😊
If something unexpected comes up, like being sick or having car trouble, it’s not a big deal. You don’t need a perfect 100% record. What matters is your overall reliability — one slip-up won’t instantly take away your chance to get the badge. Your detailed dependability stats are private and visible only to you. Publicly, only the badge is shown as a positive signal. Friendly prompts like “Almost there!” are meant to encourage you — not pressure you.
The rule around last-minute cancellations (all cancellations made less than 8 hours before the meet-up) is also mainly about building a good community experience. If spots open up too late, other people often can’t step in anymore. Clear standards help keep activities active and easy to plan.
Don’t have the badge yet? No worries — everyone starts on equal footing, and no one is punished for the past. The standard for 5 successfully completed activities is a deliberately achievable starting goal, so reliability starts paying off quickly.
