To remove someone from your favorites list, tap on "Profile" - "My favorites". Find the person you want to remove and tap on the star next to their photo. If the filled star turns into a star without a filling, you have removed the favorite. Now swipe down once from the top until a small loading symbol appears to refresh the view so that the person is no longer displayed.
